ASPHALT PAVING

UCM is one of the highest-capacity asphalt pavers and producers in Illinois. We operate 16 asphalt plants, including multiple portable plants, around Central Illinois. In a single year, UCM plants may achieve more than 2 million tons of asphalt production with the ability to lay or sell that amount almost anywhere in Central Illinois. UCM operates up to twelve asphalt paving crews at any given time- giving us the ability to perform many small parking lots and driveways while still having the capability to handle numerous larger interstate and highway projects at the same time. Our crews are experienced at both daytime and nighttime asphalt paving- lessening the effects on our customers and the general public.

UCM is a leader in developing new technology, particularly environment-friendly mixes and technologies, including warm-mix asphalt designs, recycled asphalt shingles and recycled asphalt pavement. State of the art equipment is maintained both on the job site and at our asphalt plants. Our Bloomington plant recently received a Diamond Achievement Commendation for Excellence in Hot Mix Asphalt Plant/Site Operations from the National Asphalt Pavement Association. Our on-staff quality control personnel and certified material labs make sure our asphalt always meets your expectations and specifications.
